The outdoors have been a playground and classroom for Kai since middle school. What began as a rock climbing day trip outside of Tahoe has blossomed into a lifetime of exploration and discovery. Ever curious about the next corner, Kai has pursued adventure around the world, and to the highest level of training.

As an IFMGA Mountain Guide, his training provides a foundation for all kinds of experiences. Whether it’s teaching an introduction to glacier travel, guiding a multi-week climbing expedition, or managing a steep Teton couloir, Kai loves to help clients engage with the natural landscape.

Every year brings him across North and South America, and from the Alps to Antarctica. He lives in Jackson with his wife and family, runs his own equipment company, and is never done with the past season before the new one arrives.
